Pregnancy and Lactation
US FDA pregnancy category of Amoxicillin is B. There are no adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women. Because animal reproduction studies are not always predictive of human response, Apoxy 125 mg/5 ml should be used during pregnancy only if clearly needed. Amoxicillin has been shown to be excreted in human milk. So, caution should be exercised when Amoxicillin is administered to a lactating mother.
